Do I need to pay upfront for NIHB-covered treatment?+
No. London Square Dental Centre direct bills NIHB for all eligible First Nations and Inuit patients. For covered services, you pay nothing out of pocket at the visit.
What do I need to bring to my first NIHB appointment?+
Please bring your valid status card or NIHB client ID number, a piece of government-issued photo ID, and a list of any medications you're currently taking. That's all we need to verify your coverage and start treatment.
Are dental implants and major work covered?+
Some major procedures (crowns, bridges, dentures, certain orthodontic care) require pre-determination from NIHB before treatment. Our team handles the paperwork and submits everything on your behalf. We'll let you know before any treatment starts whether it's covered.
Can my children also be seen under NIHB?+
Yes. We welcome First Nations and Inuit children of all ages. Preventive care, sealants, fluoride, fillings and extractions are all covered. We see children from age one and up.
What if a treatment isn't covered by NIHB?+
If something isn't covered or if NIHB only partially covers a treatment, we'll explain everything upfront and offer 0% financing options so cost never gets in the way of your care.
